Zipping

If you’ve come to Colorado to visit or to live, it’s probably because the mountains called to you or you wanted our 300 days of sunshine to brighten your day; either way glad you’re here. Colorado is home to the Rocky Mountains and it is beautiful here (probably why we are number one place to live); no matter the season, there is always stuff to do, such as zip lining. Over the past few years I have come to love ziplining and what a better place to zip line than in the beautiful mountains?

This beautiful place is called Top of Rockies Zip Line, they are a locally owned business located in Leadville, CO. Easy to get to and open all year round with a few breaks here and there. The reason they choose to be open all year is so people can see Colorado in all seasons from high above.

This is by far one of my favorite places to zip line because of the friendly staff and of course the adrenaline. There is a camera man that goes with you to take pictures and at the end you can purchase your photos on a disc and take your adventure home with you!

In order to get to the top you have to take a snowcat in winter and a monster truck in the spring, summer, and fall. The first zip deck starts at 11,000+ ft! There are a total of 6 decks in the course, some longer and some scarier.

My mom and I went around early summer when it was a little rainy but the sun was shining and it was very warm and pleasant. This is a great place to get away for a day and enjoy the outdoors. It’s only an hour and a half drive from Denver and about 30 minutes or so from Breckenridge, beautiful drive with an exciting destination.

I loved my experience up here zip lining through the trees and seeing the mountains while flying through the air. God is good and I love that he decided to make Colorado the way he did!

Now get out there and enjoy the ropes with your friends and family!

  1. Hey Jordan, not sure if you would remember us, Brian & Christie Scott of Spot The Scotts, we met you at Caribou one morning. Thanks for sharing your blog with us. Our video where we mention you will be going up soon, so hopefully some people will come check it out! We are soon making our trek down south to the sand dunes area to try to find a place for that big RV meetup we mentioned, and you said you might have some ideas for us 😀 Can you get in touch? Thanks so much! Attaching our email and website.
